It is always a wonderful experience when money does not cloud the artistic creative process. Over the last few months while dealing with my serious illness I collaborated with long time friend Matt Ody from my News Limited days on a ten page article and front cover image that dealt with aspects of my thirty years of travelling 187,000 miles across the Great Plains of the United States of America and in particular the Great Plains road trip of 2011. It was indeed a honour to have my story presented in such a beautiful high end coffee table magazine. Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett and her Sydney Theatre Company only had four page and the world renowned circus “cirque du soleil” had only eight pages. The Canadian based company had paid the Tasmanian publisher for a two page colour advert spread and in the business one normally gets the front cover as a bonus free of charge. The magazine arrived from the printers late last week and is now available nationwide across Australia at local newsagents. Another winning line crossed for Andrew Hogarth Publishing!
